Waterproofing
It is not surprising that with over a quarter of a century of manufacturing bitumen based waterproofing membranes and systems behind it that Index has one of the largest portfolios of specialist products to offer contractors, merchants and specifiers. Whether it be for torch-on, mechanical or cold adhesive application Index manufacture everything from underlays to vapour control barriers such as Prominent, Firestop, or the BBA certified high specification Proteaduo membrane, an APP/SBS composite. Then there’s the FLL approved Defend Antiroot H, which is root and water resistant. The key to Index high performance roofing systems is the importance it gives to robust detailing.
Traditional
This detailing is particularly vital where any penetration of the waterproofing build-up takes place during the installation of rooflights, vents, photovoltaic arrays etc.
Fall arrest systems are also available to complement the roofing package.
Structural Waterproofing
In addition to traditional flat roofing projects the Index service extends from tanking water reservoir installations and underground car parks to waterproofing concrete decks on apartment balconies and terraces. This is aided by customised products such as radon barriers and electromagnetic membranes.
